Hyakusui Hirafuku
Born in Kakunodate in Akita
Prefecture. After graduating from the Tokyo School of Fine Arts, he founded
the "Museikai" society and set out to revolutionize Nihon-ga (Japanese style
painting) with his naturalistic style of Nihon-ga which incorporated Western
realism
